dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted in Ssabagabo-Makindye sub-county. The purpose of the study was to find out the motivational strategies and their effectiveness on organizational programs. The objective of the study was to establish how training and career development, recognition and rewards and compensation; wages, salaries influence the effectiveness of organizational programs. The research methodology for the study was a descriptive cross-sectional research design. The sample size was 854 employees and a stratified sampling technique was applied in selecting the employees who were included in the sample. The researcher used questionnaires to collect data and data was analyzed using SPSS version 20. The study findings show that majority of the respondents (47.5%), were aware of the motivational strategies and that the majority of the respondents (47.5%) had benefited from the motivational strategies because the programs offered by the company are meaningful. therefore, they will be motivated to work extra to help the organization achieve its goals. The study findings demonstrated that 47.9% of the respondents agreed and strongly agreed that the organization conducts extensive training programs for employees at each job level every year, it implies means that extensive training programs for employees at each job level are not a problem to workers in roofings. The study findings also indicated that 72.6% of the respondents agreed and strongly agreed that they are acknowledged and rewarded for helping the organization achieve its goals which implying that acknowledgment and rewards of workers for help the organization achieve its goals from the study findings, 71.9% of the respondents agreed and strongly agreed that wages increase in job satisfaction and morale among employees increasing efficiency. Using a regression model, study findings indicated that how training and career development, recognition and rewards and compensation; wages, salaries are significant determinants of effectiveness on organizational programs (sig. < 0.05). The study recommended that employees of the company should be given equal opportunities and recognition. Also, the whole motivational system should be made more transparent to all employees. The study suggested that continuous feedback and organization performance in both public and private organizations.en_US
