dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine the casual relationship between unemployment and economic growth of Uganda form 1991-2018. The main objective was assessing the relationship between economic growth and unemployment and other objectives were aimed at finding out the trend of economic growth of Uganda and the trend of unemployment rate of Uganda. In order to achieve the above objectives secondary data from 2018 updated development indicators was analyzed. Data analysis was done using the STATA and the study found out that there is no relationship between unemployment and economic growth of Uganda of Uganda from year 1991 to 2018 as the results was shown by statistically insignificant relationships. The following recommendations were made as per the study; • The government should provide a conducive investment environment within the country that supports private business operations from both locals and foreigners to stabilize our economic growth. • Youth empowerment should be conducted not only to reduce unemployment but as well as increasing the country’s output of products. • Government should set economic targets that should be aggressively pursued as to increase on the gross product and reduce unemployment • Job knowledge platforms should be set up so that the available jobs ae made known to the job seekers in a timely manneren_US
