Design and construction of cocoa bean solar dryer
Abstract
The report details is multitude of design and construction of cocoa bean solar dryer that the author participated in as part of the final year project.
Chapter One; lays out an introduction of the project, briefly discussing the background of the project, the objectives, problem statement, scope and justification of the project.
Chapter Two; discussion the literature review of cocoa beans and the drying processes that are carried out to achieve high qualities that are transported to industries for manufacture. It also details the qualities required by the International Cocoa board for dried cocoa beans shipped used for manufacture of different products.
Chapter Three; spells out the design and construction methodologies and activities that were carried to achieve the objectives of the project.
Chapter Four; details the results of the cocoa bean solar dryer.
Chapter Five; is a rundown of the entire project providing the challenges faced during the project and giving the conclusion of the entire project plus the recommendations to be added for future projects.
