Reasons for school dropout in rural areas of Eastern Uganda
Abstract
The research looked at finding the reasons for school dropout in the rural areas of Eastern Uganda. With data from the Uganda Demographic Health Survey 2016, which comprised of 4066 respondents with Age, sex, religion, ethnicity, wealth, marital status, occupation being the independent factors. From the study, there are high chances that females were more likely to drop out of school as compared to their male counterparts because of various reasons attached to their sex.
