Design and implementation of peer to peer energy network.
Abstract
Peer-to-peer energy trading is the direct energy trading between prosumers and consumers
of energy from small scale distributed energy sources. A prosumer is an energy consumer
that produces electricity [1]. In this project, we propose a peer-to-peer energy trading
network in micro grids with solar photovoltaic distributed generation and a simulation of
the model. The peer-to-peer network supplies power independently and if there is an excess
in power it is traded to other consumers that might need it. This type of network aims to
advance the generation to include other production units of small-scale renewable
resources whose intake is low for now but have a promising future.
