Different Network operators in Uganda Today are carrying out Capacity planning manually. These manual methods used result in to carrying out capacity planning routinely by network operators most especially towards seasons when there are expected surges in Traffic. This is time wasting and tiresome. This project focuses on designing an automated capacity planning Tool for cellular networks which bases on the historical Traffic Data as its input, the tool analyzes the historical traffic data using mathematical optimization algorithms for time series over a given period of time basing on the analysis of the busy hour traffic. The tool outputs sufficient resources on the network for the network users basing on the resource utilization on a particular site for the past period of time. A deployabale capacity plan which includes recommendations of what a network operator has to do on a particular site in 2G, 3G and 4G networks is output by the tool and without a manual analysis of the historic traffic data, the network operator uses the output from the tool to deploy necessary equipment on the site.en_US
