This study is an investigation, on the significance of the Mobile services to the amount of money transacted per day by Mobile Money Agents in Uganda. Specifically, the study sought to (𝑖) to find out the influence of gender of the mobile money agents: (𝑖𝑖) to find out the influence of the location of the mobile money agents; (𝑖𝑖𝑖) hours spent in Mobile Money business and (𝑖𝑣) influence of volumes of transactions on the amount of money transacted per day by Mobile Money business in Nyendo parish. This research adopted a descriptive research design aimed at collections of data and the tabulation of frequencies on research variables and the research reveals who, what, when, where or how much (Saunders and Thornhill, 2000). Both primary and secondary data was used in the study due to the confidentiality of the required data to accomplish the study. Simple Random Sampling was used to select 92 respondents from the total population to participate in the study. With the aid of Stata version 15.0 computer software, data analysis was performed at three different levels namely univariate and bivariate and multiple regression. Univariate analysis with the aid of descriptive statistics and of frequency counts and percentage while bivariate analysis undertaken with the aid of ANOVA and linear regression to test the nature of relationship between the variables and finally multivariate linear regression. Results revealed that except for the volume of transactions, hours spent in business revealed a weak but positive statistically significant correlation with the amount of money transacted per day by the mobile money agents using spearman’s correlation. Further, the gender and location of the mobile money agent did not show any association with the amount of money transacted per day by the mobile money agents, this was observed from the results obtained using ANOVA. In conclusion, mobile money agents should mainly focus on the number of hours they spend in their businesses in order maximize the amount of money transacted per day in the mobile money business. Furthermore, the most challenging challenge being network, mobile money agents suggested a need for telecom companies to improve their network connectivity as this has played a role in dragging the proceeds of the agents.en_US
