Background: Although screening for cervical cancer is recommended for women in most countries, the incidence of cervical cancer is greater in developing countries. The Aim: The goal of this study is to determine the prevalence and factors associated with high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia among women attending Mulago national referral hospital. Methodology: A cross-sectional study of women attending Mulago national referral hospital is to be carried out. The patients are to be interviewed to collect demographic, epidemiological, and clinical data. Specimen are to be collected for cervical cytology using a Pap smear. HPV testing is to be done using the Hybrid Capture (HC.). Cervical lesions are to be classified according to the Bethesda System for cervical cytology 2001. Expected outcomes: The findings from this research are expected to determine the prevalence and patterns of cervical intraepithelial neoplasias and fill the knowledge gap on the risks associated with cervical intraepithelial neoplasias and this will help to come up with efficient measures of mitigation and prevention which will reduce the spread and prevalence and the potential risks of cervical intraepithelial neoplasias.en_US
