dc.description.abstractNkore is one of the four kingdom's in Uganda The kingdom is located in South Western Uganda. It was ruled by the Mugabe but abolished in 1967 and when the ruling government was restoring kingdom's, the Banyankole failed to agree to the kingdom system. Therefore, up to today the kingdom is not recognized. The study aims at studying the symbolic style of the Runyankole proverbs.This research project analyses the use of proverbs in kinyankole culture. Proverbs were valued among the Banyankole as a way of communication to children, the elders to teach morals and guide them. Proverbs are not commonly used today despite their uniqueness they tend to be ignored and people who use them are seen as arrogant because they of the past.en_US
