| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this project was to design and construct a simple vacuum cleaner that is used for tiding surfaces. The required materials including a plastic water bottle, short hosepipe, switch, small sized fan, motor, short electric cables, nine volts’ battery and soldering iron were collected and assembled to construct the device. The performance of the device constructed was tested on different particle sizes and different particle masses. The results obtained were found to be efficient / excellent with fine and tiny particles. However, efficiency of the device decreased with increase in particle sizes and masses. The study recommends that a steady power supply like hydro, solar be used instead of a DC battery that requires frequent replacement when it gets fully discharged. | en_US |
