Oil in it's natural form is a composition of various components which include the three phases i.e water, oil and gas. On this, to separate oil and use it for it's commercial importance, the three phases must be separated and oil obtained in it's purest form for further purification. It's on this basis that uses of a software ASPEN HYSYS is used to design the main equipment for separation of the three phases. The report gives a detail of the software and why and how it's used to attain the effectiveness of the equipment to obtain the pure crude oil.en_US
