| dc.description.abstract | This study examines the various characters used in fables so as to bring out the intended message to the audience, effect of cause and effect order (chronological) in the flow of the effects mostly where the tinny and trickery animals (hyena, hare) outweigh the big and fierce animals (lion, leopard, elephant). It looks at various Ganda fables mainly the trickster fables and those about the breach of faith through the traits (characterisation) of the animal characters used there in.
Fables are defined as narrative forms usually featuring animals that behave and speak as human beings, they are told in order to highlight human follies and weaknesses, a lesson for behaviour is woven into the story and often explicitly formulated at the end. | en_US |
