Since the beginning of the industrial revolution in 18th century, there has been rapid change in earth’s climate which has caused increase in global warming that leads to environmental hazards like floods, increase in deserts, and storms to mention, that destroys the environment. The main aim of this project is to investigate the effects of enhanced greenhouse gases majorly carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in the atmosphere on global warming. This research report is based on quantitative data research on atmospheric CO2 Concentration. The project data for this report was downloaded from the website called https://gml.noaa.gov/ccgg/trends/ .Then the MATLAB software was used to plot four graphs to show the variation of greenhouse gas concentrations over the years. The results showed that since the 1958 start of precision CO2 measurements in the atmosphere, the annual mean concentration has only increased from one year to year with an average increase of 2.04 ppm per for the past decade. The study recommends the adaptation of cleaner green energy sources such as solar, wind among others that do not release carbon in the atmosphere thereby curbing the increase of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Bush burning, deforestation, wetland reclamation, use of fossil fuels should be banned by world governments if we are to move a step closer to solving this climate change disaster.en_US
