    Abstract
The project aimed at designing a solar seed sowing machine that will help both small and large scale farmers to reduce the cost incurred during production. The machine is cost effective since it does not use fuel that is expensive for the farmers. The materials used are simply accessible and cheap, they include; a hopper, Solar panel, fan or blower, connecting Wires and a 12V battery. The materials were assembled in a simple circuit. The circuit was successfully connected and it worked well. When the machine was tested it worked more efficiently with lighter seeds. This was due to the strength of the blower that was used. Improvement can be made to make it efficient for all types of seeds by using a stronger blower.
