This study analyses the various images in the selected Ganda proverbs and how they bring out meaning, it is guided by two objectives, the first one is to analyse visual imagery in selected Ganda proverbs and the second one is to analyse auditory imagery in the selected Ganda proverbs. My study was both field based and library based employing a qualitative approach. The study findings revealed that the various images in the proverbs clearly brings out the meaning in those proverbs, also it was found out that proverbs are a source of advice, entertainment, and a medium of instruction that enables the young generation to learn the societal values ,norms and customs. Finally ,the study recommends that more research should be carried out on how imagery enhances meaning in the Ganda proverbs. Also, it was recommended that curriculum designers at both primary and secondary levels should put more emphasis on integrating oral literature in the Literature syllabus since this will help to transmit the oral forms like proverbs to the young generation hence teaching them societal values, norms and customen_US
