Choice of materials on building facades is key to the quality of spaces in building interiors. Seeing that it is crucial to pay attention to the way glass is used on high rise building facades, as it directly impacts on aesthetics, thermal and visual comfort, and other qualities that shall be seen as discussed. However, Today’s current situation requires intervention by all means on both sides of the designers and clients to create and adopt quality spaces with glass on high-rise building facades. The research focuses on identifying the key properties of glass as a façade material that help create quality spaces and an energy-efficient building envelope. Chapter one consists of an introduction to the topic of this research, chapter two entails the various theories meant to assist in this research, chapter 3 is about the various research methodologies to be applied in data collection The case study method was used with a selection of commonly known high-rise buildings. Different data collection methods which included a review of existing literature, interviews, discussions, and observations were used. . Chapter 4 is about the findings of the study revealing the various properties of glass and how they contribute to the quality of space within the building. The findings of the study reveal that property modification of glass in addition to several factors such as building design, façade orientation, and incorporation of shading devices on low e glass can contribute to an improved quality of indoor space. Although some of these choices mitigated in design might escalate project implementation costs, it is at times necessary. It was also seen that if not paid attention to, an elevation of inappropriate use of glass on high rise building facades will escalate thus creating poor quality spaces and other disadvantages that come along. all this information contributes to the conclusions and recommendations given.en_US
