    Abstract
The main objective of this study is to characterize, produce and evaluate alternative diesel fuels from pyrolysis of waste plastic, to understand and to optimize the processes of plastic pyrolysis for maximizing the oil products, and to design a continuous pyrolysis apparatus as a semi-scale commercial plant. The diesel (35ml) obtained from 500g of waste plastics at a temperature range of 200-260oC has a density of 0.634g/cm3 and a flash point of 85oC. The method used was the thermal degradation of waste plastics into diesel by the process of pyrolysis in limited supply of oxygen and a thermometer of 360oC was inserted into the reactor to monitor the temperature of thermal degradations. This project explores the use of waste plastics in the growing and developing world. Other alternatives to plastic are difficult to find because plastic has many uses and different properties. Demand for plastics is also increasing day by day and with increasing plastic rate their waste is increasing. Increasing plastic waste is causing more environmental problems worldwide.
