Poor management of Agricultural inputs information has become a major concern to Farmers in Wakiso District today, this has led farmers to purchase counterfeit Agricultural Inputs unknowingly hence harvesting poor farm yields and losing interest in farming, thus abandoning their farms, also Agro-Dealers are also facing losses because the farmers are no longer buying from them. The farmers told us they purchase their products from markets, local village shops and others travel to Kampala City to buy the inputs. The problem arises after these farm inputs are applied to their gardens because most of the farmers complained that they do not achieve the high yields that they were promised by the Agro- Dealers. The Agricultural Input Information Management System facilities communication between farmers and Agro-Dealers to provide quality information about the genuine inputs and description of the counterfeit inputs to reduce on their purchase and use, the system allows farmers to log into the system and search for the genuine farm inputs from the system, with the description of how to use it and the location or contact of this genuine Agro-Dealer who also registered the genuine farm inputs on our system. The information used for this system was collected using Questionnaires and Interview guides in order to get the different perspectives from the Farmers and Agro-Dealers and any suggestions on what is required and how to improve the system. The research data was analyzed using comparative methods and content analysis with excel. Data flow diagrams and Enhanced Entity Relationship Diagram were used to model the system design for easy understanding of how it works for both developers and other stakeholders. The system was developed using technologies like HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and Bootstrap. The system has different users with different roles that is; the administrator is in charge of monitoring and maintaining the system, the Farmer is able to register, login, search the available farm inputs and view the images, contacts and locations of Agro-Dealers where they can purchase from and the Agro-Dealer is able to register, login, add inputs, view inputs, view location and contacts of other Agro-Dealers. This report covers all chapters and activities carried out through the entire project.en_US
