The study used a cross-sectional survey research design consisting of both qualitative and quantitative approaches of data collection and analysis. The study population consisted of care givers from the 11 sub-counties of Bushenyi District. The results show that there was a significant relationship between age group, education level, marital status, place of residence, position at workplace, income level and education level with socio economic status. There was no significant relationship between gender and socio-economic status of the respondent at the bivariate level of analysis. At the multivariate analysis, gender, age group, marital status, education level and place of residence were not associated with socio economic status while position at work and income level had a positive and significant relationship with socio economic status.
