After a childhood characterized by poverty and suffering, Dave discovers that he had acquired computer programming skills since he's been apprenticing at a computer service centre in town which he uses to develop a social messaging application, Davester, that allows users to send messages, multimedia, location make voice and video calls which sells like a hot cake. With his new app on air, he acquires a lot of wealth and consequently power since he is now the CEO of Davester Technologies a company he estsblishes. Unaware to him, the worst is yet to befall him as he has to balance between his new status and his old one. A good hearted, loving and compassionate Dave is corrupted by power and he becomes proud, arrogant and rude to almost everyone around him. Seeing himself among one of the richest people in the world, he sees himself as invicible forgetting that power is always dangerous as it attracts the worst and corrupts the best. Indeed Dave is corrupted by power and money even when his wife, Jane keeps cautioning him on his behavior in public even at home. Acquisition of too much power and money keeps deteriorating his relationship with people especially some of his friends especially Charles and Tonney who end up abandoning him at work and being his key advisors, their departure from the company means that there will be a very big space left unfilled. This is not the only catastrophe that befalls him also his wife Jane leaves him going with their two children, Alex and Sarah. Eventually he lacks technical advise he used to get from Charles and Tonney and also his wife and this leads him to make bad decisions as he can listen to anyone at the company, and these decisions affect so much his company that he starts loosing money and even people whom he trusted are going away from him. He doesn't take these problems so serious until he signs a deal with drug dealers, a dea that makes him lose over fifty billion dollars almost half of his wealth. At this point he starts recollecting himself as he is in serious debts incurred from legal affairs as he's trying to save his company's reputation after news spread that his company deals in drugs. This incident of course requires him to seek his wife's assistance since his wife is a share holder in the company but the wife is not willing because of his behaviors. This forces him to reflect on his behavior and how he treats other people so as to save his reputation and saving the company from running bankrupt. He has to humble himself and reconcile with everyone.en_US
