    Abstract
    This dissertation attempts to find out the impact of social networks as a main way of communication among Makerere students. Among the social networks that are being targeted in this dissertation include: Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, LinkedIn‘, WhatsApp and so on. General Objective: The general objective of the study was to establish the ways of improving social network usage among Makerere university students. Specific Objectives: The specific objectives of the study were to: 1. Establish ways of improving social network usage among Makerere university students. 2. Assess the impact of social networks as a main way of communication among Makerere university students. 3. Find out the influence of social networks as a main way of communication among Makerere university students.
