dc.description.abstractThe method of banking in which the customer conducts transactions electronically via the internet is largely known as electronic banking (Sukhwinder, 2017). The history of e-banking dates back to the mid-1970s when it was first conceptualized and became popular in the late 1980s where the electronic banking system could be accessed with phone lines (Batchelor, 2017). It was first adopted in New York in 1981 where the major banks in the city where Citi and Chase banks and they provided home basic banking services (Sarreal, 2019).en_US
