The study assesses factors that constrain loan seekers from financial intermediaries' credit especially from Centenary Bank Bwaise Branch. The specific objectives of the study included; to establish whether the policies influence the acquisition of loans, to assess the relationship between education and the type of loan one acquires, and others as they are explained and analyzed in the report. A purposive study was carried out from only those respondents who had knowledge about centenary bank. The study was established on a survey study where primary and secondary data were used, primary data from the clients of centenary bank in the areas of Bwaise was used questionnaires were used and interviews for those respondents who didn’t know how to read and write. This data was analyzed by use of SPSS and tables figures were used to infer on the general factors that constrain clients from acquiring of loans. The results that were found out showed that the education level and sex does not impact on the acquisition of a loan as it was tested using the spearman’s rank correlation, as it was found out most of the respondents were men and other findings as they were explained in the report. However, the research did not cover all the factors that constrain clients from acquiring loans like the uneven spread of bank branches that are only concentrated in urban areas, therefore these necessities the researcher to give some recommendation to the bank like it has to reach out to customers in rural areas, reduce the interest rate that is charged on loans so as to attract more clients to borrow.en_US
