dc.description.abstractThis dissertation seeks to focus on how symbolism is an important aspect in explaining the meaning of Runyankole fables. It involved the collection of eight selected fables from the field. It is centered on an approach that uses the theory of symbolism and fables. this helps to interpret and analyse the meaning of these selected Therefore, this research which i personally carried out seeks to draw a relationship between the use of symbolism and the meaning of the fables and how this relationship makes it easier to understand the fables.en_US
