dc.description.abstractThis study is majorly based on the study of proverbial ambiguity that exists in Lango proverbs and the confusion that the ambiguity has caused to the people. This research study focuses both on the proverbs used in the text "Wek Abonyo Kwani" by Opio Okaka Dokotum and the Lango proverbs at large. The effectiveness of the proverbial ambiguity used in the proverbs for thematic development and enriching meaning. This research uses several methods of getting data which included document review of published and existing literature on oral literature. This research also utilized group discussion and library search as well.en_US
