The Asphalt pavements are fundamentally designed to last, but often they do not perform as expected and therefore sometimes end up requiring rehabilitation after a relatively short time. This scenario is normally attributed to different surface distresses that include environmental distresses usually associated with factors affecting the pavement from outside and structural distresses that area result of overloading. One of the causes of overloading on these pavements is theinstallation ofspeed calming devices on roads which includespeed humps and rumble strips. It is therefore important to study the impact of these speed humps on the different road types to find out how they may lead to pavement deterioration.
