In the world of business, survival is only for the fittest and one of the ways of survival is acquiring a loan for your business. This loan can be used for a variety of activities, major ones include business boosting and expansion, creating new business branches, purchasing new machinery, among others. Small businesses however are normally left out when it comes to acquiring such loans. Also, the financial institutions find it time consuming and extremely difficult to assess the risks for the loans they give out and also determine the creditworthiness of the clients who want the loans. The main purpose of this project therefore, is to develop an automated system that will address the challenges above. The system is called Credit Risk Analysis and Management System (CRAMS), and it will help small businesses to know what is needed to access particular loans, determine their credit worthiness, help them acquire their daily transactions and be able to apply for loans. The System shall enable financial institutions to carry out risk analysis and assess credit worthiness of the clients who apply for loans. We used a complete software development methodology that is requirement collection and analysis, system design, implementation, testing and deploymenten_US
