dc.description.abstractThis research is about the teaching techniques of poetry in secondary schools in Uganda. Poetry is a form of literature that evokes a concentrative imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through a language chosen. The main objective for this research is to find out the techniques that a teacher can use to teach poetry in secondary schools, for example the importance of poetry to the community. In conclusion, the best method to teach poetry in classroom is singing, giving students exercises so as learners can discuss on their own after the main lessons in class.en_US
