Abstract

The web-based agricultural transportation system report entails an introduction, problem statement, literature review, methodology, system analysis and design, system implementation and the conclusion. The Agricultural sector, which is our biggest employer is faced with a number of challenges that need immediate attention. One of the major problems faced in the agricultural sector is the transportation of agricultural products to the market. The problem statement entails difficulty in getting access to efficient transport services for agricultural merchandise. Farmers also face a problem with the time frame for their products to move from the farms to the market. The main objective is to design a web-based system to bridge the gap between truck drivers and farmers to enable farmers to access transport for their products to the market on time.
