This report documents my field excursion experience in the Albertine graben which was carried out from 12th to 23rd June. The field work was carried out in areas of Kichwamba, behind kisegi river at the quarry, along a seasonal kisegi river, along kibuku road cut and sempaya hot springs. The main objectives of the field work was to study the environment and process of deposition of sediments in the area and understand physical sedimentological and sequence stratigraphical formations. The specific objectives of the field work was to identify lithologies in the semiliki basin, to identify different elements of the petroleum system and to identify the facies and depositional environment. Different materials were used to measure, record and store geological dataen_US
