Design and construction of a soil moisture sensor
Abstract
Water is a very beneficial and energizing force for irrigation Nakano and Otsuka (2011). The optimal use of water must be done on an hourly basis.
Effective irrigation helps to improve crop quality, decrease reliance on fertilizer, raise plant yields, and conserve water. There are many methods for measuring soil moisture content in both laboratories and the field,Starr and
Paltineanu (2002), however using electronic soil moisture sensor devices is the quickest and most accurate. Each type of soil moisture sensor has
advantages and disadvantages of its own, Ratnaparkhi et al. (2020). Compared to the already developed soul moisture sensors on the market that is the temperature moisture Sensors, the arduino moisture sensors, capacitance moisture others among others, the resistivity soil moisture sensor is far much better with more advantages than any of the previously developed
sensors.
