The major objective of this study was to assess factors that facilitate entrepreneurship intention amongst university students. A cross-sectional study design was adopted, data collected and analyzed using STATA v15.0. Analysis was done and some of the student characteristics were; 58% males 98% unmarried, 80.2% were unemployed 38% were Anglicans, 87.5% got their income/ upkeep from parents/ guardians, 57.3% were studying bachelor of science in business statistics, 63.5% were in their final year, 37.5% were staying in hostels/ rentals, 66.7% had a higher CGPA (3.5-5.0), and 68% earned a monthly income/ upkeep less than UGX 250,000. On students’ characteristics’, findings revealed that CGPA of the respondent (P=0.000. X2=15.18), and sources of income (P=0.044, X2=6.23) had a significant relationship. On the relationship between obstacles to entrepreneurship, findings indicated that experience on starting business (P=0.010, X2 = 9.10) had a significant relationship with entrepreneurial intention. The general model on the overall factors affecting entrepreneurial intention amongst university students, findings revealed that students who have ever started a business were likely to start entrepreneurship easily compared to those who have never started a business implying that lack of experience was an obstacle to entrepreneurial intention amongst university students (OR=0.234, P=0.004). The study concluded that students’ CGPA, sources of income and experience on starting business had a serious influence on entrepreneurial intention amongst university students. From this, the study recommended that i) Students with a higher CGPA be encouraged to start entrepreneurship though the study shows they are less likely to start business, and ii) Students should be encouraged to start up entrepreneurship even in amidst of the experience obstacle.en_US
