Rainwater harvesting (RWH) is the collection, storage, and use of rainwater. The act of collecting rainwater from catchment surfaces such as iron sheets (hard roofs), grassthatched roofs, polythene papers/tarpaulins, rocks, and artificial pavement surfaces is referred to as rainwater collection. The term "storage" refers to placing collected rainwater in containers where it can be properly stored for some time until it is needed. Drums, jerry cans, pots, saucepans, basins, tanks, polythene sheets, ground surface/ ditches, troughs, ponds, and rocks are all common storage facilities. There are various uses of rainwater including;  Domestic chores (drinking, washing, cooking, bathing)  Industrial (construction).  Farming. (Environment, 2015)en_US
