| dc.description.abstract | The study was conducted among the Acholi in Northern Uganda. Oral poetries in Acholi were analyzed to find out theme of marriage. The specific objectives of the study were to identify oral poetries in Acholi with the theme of marriage and to analyze the effectiveness of devices in developing the theme of marriage in oral poetries. Various books, journal articles and internet literatures were reviewed in accordance with the study objectives of the study. 10 participants were interviewed and data analysis was done using content analysis and verbatim was used to present the direct quotation from the respondents. Conclusion was made as well as some recommendations and areas of further research also have been identified and presented. | en_US |
