Design and construction of a hand held self-rechargeable leaf blower.
Abstract
Trees are one of the botanical perennial plants which when in an environment provide a beautiful.
scenery, shed, oxygen, wind protection, manure from fallen leaves, food and many more. Due to
this, having trees is one’s compound is beneficial and thus inevitable [1].On the other hand, trees
have leaves falling off every day in order to conserve resources for example water content in
them and at the same time grow new ones. This creates a repeated cycle of leaves falling off
trees across the world [2].
Research has it that mostly weather affects how quickly leaves drop from tress. On average,
about 10 – 15% of a tree’s leaves fall off at a time during adverse conditions such as storms,
strong wind and prolonged drought depending on the tree type [3].This requires tree owners to
clear and clean their compounds daily which is tiresome where the degree of tire depends on how
much fallen leaves one has to with great strain or stress collect and pile up for disposal or other uses such as manure to gardens. Figure one shows the compound of CEDAT filled with leaves
on a typical afternoon.
As clearly seen, the volume of fallen leaves almost cover the ground surface and yet a good
number of the leaves above shows more are still falling by the color being displayed.
As a result of keeping the environment clean and tidy, fallen leaves clearing became a daily
program for every home or cleaners in different places, long time ago humans came up with
cleaning methods which have evolved and improved over the years.
