dc.description.abstractThe study examined mental health concerns among students with disability at Makerere University whose specific objectives were to; Explore the mental health concerns among students with disability at Makerere University. Find out the ways students with disability manage their mental health concerns. Assess the perceived supports for students with disability at Makerere University The study was descriptive in nature in which qualitative methods of data collection and analysis were employed. The study findings indicate that a number of issues raise concern among students with disability which ultimately affects their performance and social integration in university community. These concerns include, fear, discrimination and mobility issues The study also indicates the coping mechanisms and the available supports to enhance the mental well-being of students with disability. Conclusively, the study suggests recommendations to the university and the government to ensure integration and a conducive environment for students with disability.en_US
