This research was set to analyze the way irony is brought out in Runyoro fables and it’s effectiveness in bringing out the meanings in these stories. Using my knowledge about oral literature and different readings about it I was able to do a lot in the field of fables as it’s genre. Through this research I was able to see that indeed irony plays a big tile in giving the fables the underlying meaning and passing on morals through the different types of irony used and employed in the fables.en_US
