The study analyzed the effectiveness of the 16 days of activism campaign in combating gender-based violence in kamdini, oyam district. The study implored a descriptive survey design by which a subset of the total number of women and girls in kamdini, oyam district were studied by seeking information about the effectiveness of 16 days of activism campaign. Data was collected using oral interviews and questionnaire tools, which helped me to collect information for this study. This was later analyzed into descriptive statistics that is frequencies and percentages using pie charts and graphs. Results from the study show that there is a significant number of people facing gbv especially women and girls which has caused more harm than good which was manifested by the increasing numbers of teenage mothers in kamdini. With the help of stakeholders such as un women who funded the 16 days of activism campaign to promote awareness against gbv in oyam district, significant progress was observed. The study findings indicates that the 16 days of activism campaign was effective in promoting awareness against gender-based violence through advocacy for male involvement in the fight against gbv thus enabled males learn more about gbv and realize the importance of valuing the girl child and women in the community. This promoted equality for both women and men in the society, thus promoting a peaceful and fruitful marriage and education for the girls. This has further reduced the numbers of forced child marriages and teen pregnancies for the girl child.en_US
