dc.description.abstractChildren access to post-secondary education has been a huge problem in kisimbiri village over years and this has created a great concern for parents on whether their children will get better jobs in this dynamic world therefore this study aims at finding out the determinants of access to post-secondary education in kisimbiri village. The study employed a cross-sectional research. Data were collected by the use of questionnaires that were administered to 96 households in kisimbiri village .The data retrieved were subjected to univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis with the aid of SPSS. Findings revealed that monthly income of household head, location of household, highest level of education of household head, occupation of household head were the significant factors that determined access to post-secondary as the p-value was less than 0.05 which makes the stated null hypothesis for those factors false. The study recommended that the government should sensitize the general public do stop gender discrimination in Uganda. The government should therefore put in place public institutions and universities were children above 16years can access post-secondary education and it should also give scholarship to the best performing students.en_US
