The study entails the development and application of a Housing Adequacy Assessment Tool, a model for assessing the adequacy of housing. The major objectives of this study were to establish the various aspects that define adequate housing, find units to quantify those aspects, assess the varying significance of each aspect and attach weights to reflect that varying significance quantitatively. The study uses existing literature to assess and quantify the various aspects that define adequate housing, then uses questionnaires to assess the varying significance of the different aspects that define adequate housing using consumer preferences. The study also applies the tool to assess housing adequacy for a subject property in an application of concept.en_US
