dc.description.abstract | This study examines the strategies of performing folktales in the Buganda kingdom considering the techniques, and skills that a good story teller must be equipped with especially among the Ganda.it is aimed at examining the effectiveness of these particular strategies in delivering the intended message to the public as well as there impact on the audience in their comprehension of the folktales. It is meant to enrich further research, tackle the issues regarding degrading folktales performance and bias, equipping future performers and aid potential critics on the criteria in judging future folktale performances. Participator, observation, interviews and taking notes are some of the methods I have undertaken using pens notebooks a smartphone as well as a computer in collecting data which is focused on performance strategies like narrative style, the role of sound devices, and idiophones. This study concludes that the performance of folktales has become a career to many changing from a pass time like it initially was and therefore has become for all ages and all levels of education. | en_US |
