dc.description.abstractThis study analyses the lived experiences of schooling teenagers during the Covid-19 lockdown in Bujuuko village Wakiso district. The study aimed to analyse the lived experience of schooling teenagers, the schooling teenager's perception of challenges and stressors related to lockdown and also explore the coping strategies adopted by schooling teenagers during the Covid-19 lockdown at Bujuuko village in Wakiso district. The study covered twenty respondents that were purposively selected in these were the schooling teenagers, key informants such as community leaders and also the parents and care takers of schooling teenagers. Data was collected using interview guide and questionaries, these questions were qualitatively analysed. Study results show that schooling teenagers experienced social, psychological, and economic and learning lived experiences during the Covid-19 lockdown. Schooling teenagers highly experienced psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, fear among others; these affected them negatively in their lives during the lockdown. So, most of the schooling teenagers coped up with certain strategies so as to overcome the challenges and stressors related to Covid-19 lockdown in Bujuuko village Wakiso district. The study involved schooling teenagers in the lower class of senior one and highest class of senior six. The study therefore recommends that, the government should put in place strategies through strategic curriculum changes to integrate psycho-social support service for schooling teenagers, the study also recommends that families and communities should renew and enhance their communication with the government. The study furthermore recommends the government to think of other alternatives in case such situation of Covid-19 come up, these include abolishing of visitation days in schools and ensure that all students are in boarding sectionen_US
