The study sought to understand the perceived socio-economic effects of Emyooga program in Kyengera Town Council. The objectives of the study were; to determine the factors that influence access to Emyooga program in Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District., the socioeconomic benefits perceived by the beneficiaries of Emyooga Program in Kyengera Town Council and challenges that hinder Emyooga program beneficiaries from realizing improvements in their socio-economic well-being in Kyengera Town Council. The study adopted a mixed research approach (both qualitative and quantitative research) and selected the primary respondents by dividing the population into male and female stratum to get a proportionate sample. However, only 40 respondents were included in the study. While Key informants were selected purposively. Findings show that there are several factors that influenced access to Emyooga funds which include availability of information, beneficiary inputs, beneficiary views about saving and borrowing and conduct of Emyooga staff. The respondents mostly mentioned investment benefits especially investment in trade business. However, respondents mentioned that there are some hinderances that limited them from attaining social economic well-being with inadequacy of the funds being the most prevailing. Recommendations were therefore made to ensure social-economic well-being of beneficiaries of Emyooga funds and for future research.en_US
