This study analyzes the contribution of Luwero Rwenzori Development Programme in the eradication of poverty among households in Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori Region in Uganda. The development programme was implemented in 2010 to 2015, in districts like Kabarole, Wakiso, Luwero, mubende among others. Data used in the analysis was got from UNHS conducted in these districts. STATA 15 was used as the main statistical package for analysis, frequency tables and summary statistics for Univariate analysis, categorical and continuous variables respectively. For bivariate analysis, pearson chi-square, the oneway ANOVA and a multinomial logistic regression for the multivariate analysis. The main outcome variable was daily meals in a household since food security is one of the major indicators of poverty. This was categorized into all three meals, only two meals and only one meal. Size of the family and household welfare were associated with the number of daily meals in the household. A unit increase in the size of the family significantly reduces the daily meals in the household. The study also proved that household assets acquired during LRDP had a significant effect on the household poverty. In conclusion, the LRDP greatly contributed to the government’s efforts to eradicate poverty in household by supporting crop and animal farming, being the main economic activities in both Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori Region. The study suggests further investments in education, women empowerment, and agriculture support to mention but a few.en_US
