The relevance of visual communication design in effective advertising

This research intends to walk you through the long and diverse history of visual communication design, medium of visual communication design, ways of improving visual communication design, the relevance of improved communication design and the power of communication behind visual communication design, a case study in Makerere suburb-Kikoni. Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words as said by advertising executive, Fred R. Barnard. This abstract is going to be broken down into the chapters in the book so that we can get a clear picture in summary of what each chapter covers; CHAPTER ONE takes you through the introduction, background of the study, problem statement, purpose of the study, objective of the study, research questions, scope and significance of the study. CHAPTER TWO talks about the literature review which was further sub divided into the literature about visual communication design, advertising, corporate design and branding and visual literacy. CHAPTER THREE walks you through the methodology. And in this proposal, the methodology encompasses the research design, sample selection criteria, data collection tools, that is to say, primary and secondary data collection and finally, data processing.
