The study aimed to analyze the determinants of the quantity of beef produced in Uganda. It was based on secondary data which was obtained from the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, Agriculture survey 2020. The analysis was done in STATA 15.0and the analysis was done by descriptive statistics and multi-linear regression. The study revealed that the majority of the household heads were from Northern Region (43.15%) and also in the age group 20-24 (38.17%). Most of the household heads were married constitute 58.51% and attained primary education (65.56%). More than half of the household’s head other economic activity was agriculture (61.72%) followed by jobs paid outside the holding (14.51%) and the last one being a trader (0.41%). Most household heads had access to information on the radio (66.80%) then followed by Farmer to the farmer (12.41%) and most traveled 2km or less to the market facilities (72.20%). The results of the study revealed that Region, Age, Access to information, and farmer’s other economic activity were the factors that significantly affected the quantity of beef produced. Other factors like Distance from the market facility, education level, and marital status had no significant impact on the quantity of beef produced. The study recommended that the government through its advisory agencies should sensitize and also provide information about the importance of keeping cattle for beef production. This could improve the quantity of beef produced.en_US
