The study investigated ICT Competences of Ordinary Level Secondary School Students in Wakiso District. It sought to establish the relationship between ICT usage and students’ use of ICT to access, exchange in reference to the availability, accessibility and adequacy of ICT resources in the schools in Wakiso district, specifically in two schools of, Buloba Royal College and St. Lucia Hill School, Namagoma. The study was prompted due to the Covid-19 pandemic that was vibrant in years of 2020 and 2021 which favoured online learning in disfavor of physical interactions between teacher and learners. How much competent the learners were as far as ICT usage was concerned was the major pivot in this study. It was conducted through cross- section survey design; data was collected during the month of October 2022 using questionnaires with close ended and open ended questions from a sample one hundred twenty students of lower ordinary level. The study established that most of the learners had the basic skills needed to use ICT in their learning, with more males interested than the females in the sampled schools. The researchers concluded that availability, accessibility and adequacy of ICT resources significantly affect students’ ICT usage and as well their ICT perception in secondary schools. Based on the above, the researcher recommends that the government and head teachers of secondary schools have special funds created to revamp the e-learning support centres at the private and secondary schools for student use in Wakiso district.en_US
