This research was mainly carried out to investigate and show how the universal concept of Male Chauvinism is viewed by analyzing how the concept is represented through the oral literature of Ankole folktales. From the research carried out, the researcher found out that the concept of male chauvinism is greatly developed through the local Ankole folktales a case that is, seemingly different from the western world which is mostly through the film and movie category. There is a clear distinction between the roles performed by men and women in the Ankole society. It was therefore the core purpose of this study to find out and show how the concept of male chauvinism is represented in the six selected Ankole folktales. And finally, this research recommends that curriculum designers of primary, secondary and universities put more emphasis on the integration of oral literature teaching syllabi to help preserve oral literature genres.en_US
