dc.description.abstract | The study basically looks at the performance strategies in Runyoro folksongs. I intend to find out the performance strategies in these folksongs and the research contains an introduction to these folksongs and their origin, literature review which looks at different scholars who identified the performance strategies in Runyoro folksongs. The researcher used the interview, observation, data analysis methods, note taking and discussion methods. The researcher attended the performance of these folksongs and listen to them thus finding the view that employed the performance strategies. The study established and concluded that the performance strategies in the folksongs and it Runyoro is crucial for it employs the style and theme and value of the song in the community. The study recommended that performance strategies be crucially observed as they play a great role in the understanding of the subject matter and theme in the Runyoro folksongs. | en_US |
