The study sought to investigate the youths' response to the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District. The study used a cross-sectional study design applying both quantitative and qualitative approaches to data collection. Data was primarily collected using a structured questionnaire administered to 96 youths that were randomly selected. The study findings revealed that all the youth (100%) were aware of the existence of Covid-19, its transmission, and the vaccination campaigns. Whereas all the respondents knew of the existence of Covid-19, slightly over half of them (52%) did not believe in the effectiveness of the available Covid-19 vaccines in Uganda. Close to three-thirds (60%) of the respondents were not willing to get vaccinated. Lack of trust regarding the effectiveness of the vaccines and beliefs that youth are immune to Covid-19 were major determinants of the youth’s response to Covid-19 vaccination. The study recommends that the Government emphasized utilizing social media platforms when disseminating vaccination information targeting the youth specifically to dispel the lack of trust by the youth about the vaccine and the myth that youths are immune to Covid-19.en_US
